Naschmarkt

Right across the street from our hostel in Vienna was Naschmarkt, an open-air market with dozens of food and spice vendors. Now that I look back, I think the reason I liked the place so much was because of how much color it had: my days in Europe have been spent in urban environments with grey skies. Naschmarkt was so appealing to me that I realized that I've taken color for granted all these years in coastal California.

Here are a few of the pictures I snapped at the market: but be warned, as spring-y as these pictures looked, it was still rainy/snowy/windy/grey outside. But we can pretend.

That's all for Vienna! It was a great trip, but I'm glad to be back in CPH. In fact, I think going away for a little made me appreciate this little city even more. It's really beginning to feel like a home away from home.

  1. Vienna looks and sounds amazing! You take great photographs by the way. I can't wait to hear about the rest of your European travel plans. If you have any questions or need any trips shoot me an email...I hit up a lot of the bigger ones on my backpacking trip in college.
