My housemate Serena and I treated ourselves to our very first smørrebrød experience at Aamans this past Sunday. Smørrebrød is one of the most iconic Danish meals - it's an open-faced sandwich with fish, meat, egg, veggies, and/or condiments. That one on the left - with smoked halibut, egg, mayonnaise, rye crumbs and basil - was so incredibly delicious. Fish in CPH puts California's to shame, I have to say. I'll be having a lot more of these.
After our smørrebrød we had yummy coffee with little complimentary cookies.
